Sukhothai Historical Park

This historical park in Northern Thailand covers the ruins of Sukhothai, which was capital of the Sukhothai Kingdom during the 13th and 14th centuries. It is now declared a World Heritage Site and is near the present day city of Sukhothai. This is really a lovely place and well worth visiting. The park spans a large area and you can just spend all day just relaxing in the quiet and beauty as you feel the age old history around you. I recommend renting a bicycle as it's not that expensive and a good way to get around the park. While you are there don't forget to visit the Ramkhamhaeng National Museum which is on site.
