These pictures were taken in the Esan (North Eastern Thailand) way out in the country. It was a real pretty area and it was quite fertile. All you could see were the rice fields. I found these tractors or utility vehicles interesting. The Thais call them "rote e kong" or "rote e dtak". An engine is mounted on the front and the drive is in the front. The rear section is free wheeling. Notice how the farm worker controls the unit by handlebars like a lawnmower.
